Overview

What is an mIRC script?

An mIRC script is a set of instructions that make mIRC do something.� The current mIRC scripting language allows non-sequential programming and common editing.� An mIRC script is made up of three parts: Aliases, Popups and Remote.� Aliases are commands that can perform more than one command at a time.� Popups are menus that can be accessed using the right mouse button.� The Remote stores information about users and reacts to events on IRC.� The three sections share the same scripting language and can control each other.� An mIRC script is stored in an .INI file. How scripts are classified

control scripts - your basic mIRC script.� Designed around the mIRC user.

channel bots - manage channels. These include bar bots, security bots, etc..

file management - DCC control, XDCC CTCP requests, playing waves/midi, etc..

clone/war - make clones, server linker, spy, flooding and multi-collide.

other - dungeon master's scripts, game scripts, color scripts, etc..
